First-time mobile detailing client? Here's the short version: you don't need to do much. But doing these four things before we arrive makes a real difference in the quality of the results — and keeps the appointment moving efficiently.
One thing you don't need to do: Pre-clean the car. That's our job. Just handle the four steps below.
Clear the trunk, back seat, center console, door pockets, and any storage compartments. Remove car seats, bags, gym gear, or anything that would restrict access to carpet, seats, and surfaces. The detailer needs unobstructed access to every surface — including under seats, in seat pockets, and in the trunk.
You don't need to bag-and-tag everything. Just move it into your home or garage beforehand.
The detailer needs about 3 feet of clearance around all four sides of the vehicle to move freely with equipment. A driveway is ideal. Street parking works if there's enough room. Garage detailing works well for ceramic coating — shade prevents premature cure during application.
For ceramic coating services (4–7 hours), shaded parking or a garage is strongly preferred. Direct mid-day sun during the coating process can compromise results.
If you have a stain you're worried about, a scratch you want us to see, a waterspot issue on the glass, or an odor — flag it in the booking notes or mention it at the start of the appointment. We'll prioritize it. You don't need to clean these areas — just identify them.
You don't need to be present the whole time. But being available when we arrive allows us to do a quick walkthrough, confirm vehicle access, and ask any questions about your priorities. After the initial check-in, you can go back to your day. We'll reach out when the service is complete.

We arrive at the scheduled window, confirm the vehicle and service, and do a quick walkaround to note pre-existing damage (scratches, dings, stains). This protects both of us — it ensures we're aligned on what the car looked like before we started.
Then we get to work. For longer services like ceramic coating, we'll check in with you at key stages. For standard details, the first you'll typically hear from us is when we're finished.
After completion, we do a final walkthrough with you so you can inspect the vehicle before we pack up. If anything didn't meet expectations, we address it on the spot — that's the guarantee.
